Washington DC

The Nation’s Capital
Welcome to Washington, D.C: Where the Government runs around, the Museums Are Free, and the Cherry Blossoms are pretty but not prettier than you
2017
Museums Galore!
The Smithsonian Museums were some of the most elegant, extravagant, enlightening (and definite more “e” words) museums I have ever been to. Here are a few that we saw:
National Air and Space Museum
This museum is known for the amazing replicas of different avian technology through human history. With plane artifacts and tours of plane history, this museum really a high-flying experience! The exhibits really took off and soared beyond my expectations. Plus you get cool dining options in the hangar like area. Here is the link the check more on it and to get tickets!
National Museum of Natural History
This museum was also quite special. Learn about the wonders of the world, both science and nature. The exhibits are special and ever-changing so you can go back repeatedly. Free admission as well according to their website! It has been a while but here are the exhibits I remember them having.
Sant Ocean Hall
“Dive in” and immerse yourself in a large exhibit based on ocean floors and sea dwelling creatures! Perfect for my brother who loves fish and aquariums.
Garden Lounge
A relaxing exhibit to learn about plants and its impact on our ecosystem. Very enjoyable in the middle of your trek throughout the museum.
Bone Hall
Check out the different skeletons and fossils of creatures, both living and extinct!
Georgetown Neighborhood:
Filled with different shops and eateries, this area is full of fun things to do. Check out the cafés for a morning coffee and then walking around the quaint neighborhood!
2012
Government Monumental
In 2012, I also went to DC to check out the government buildings and learned more about the US’ history in politics!
